About Me
I'm Sérgio Gonçalves — a Database Reliability Engineer based in Portugal with over a decade of experience across infrastructure, database administration, and reliability engineering. I've worked in telecom, banking, aviation, AI, and health-tech, always with the same goal: keeping data infrastructure running smoothly at scale.
Outside of work, I volunteer my IT expertise at ARPILF (a local non-profit), tinker with my home server lab, and occasionally reminisce about my handball days. I bring the same desenrasca mindset to everything — adapt, improvise, and get it done.
When I'm not keeping databases alive, I'm exploring the world with my family — every trip brings new cultures, perspectives, and discoveries that make me grow beyond the terminal.
